Plans and Pricing
FontCraft uses a simple per-font pricing model: start with 1 free font, and upgrade to Pro when you need more.
Free
£0, no card required.
Every font starts as a free font. You get:
- 1 free font — try FontCraft with one font project
- Letters + numbers (A–Z, a–z, 0–9) — the core character set
- TTF & WOFF2 export — the most common font formats
- Cloud sync — your work is saved automatically
Free fonts are for personal use only. You cannot sell them or use them in commercial work.
Good for: trying FontCraft, making fonts for personal use, creating signature fonts for your own designs.
Pro (per font)
£4.99 one-time, per font.
Upgrade any individual font to Pro to unlock the full toolkit for that font:
- Full character set (600+) — accented letters, currencies, punctuation, math symbols, arrows, and more
- TTF, WOFF2 & OTF export — all major font formats including the professional OpenType format
- Ligatures — custom glyphs that replace specific letter pairs (fi, fl, ff, etc.)
- Glyph variants — draw multiple versions of a letter, and FontCraft randomly alternates between them for a more natural, hand-drawn feel
- Commercial licence — sell your font, use it in client work, licence it to businesses
The upgrade is a one-time payment — no subscription. Once a font is Pro, it stays Pro forever.
Good for: anyone who wants the full character set, professional export formats, or needs to use their font commercially.
Commercial Licence
Pro fonts include a full commercial licence. This means:
- You can sell your font on Etsy, Creative Market, or anywhere else
- You can use your font in products you sell (merchandise, digital products, client work)
- You can licence your font to other businesses
Free fonts are personal use only. Fonts that have not been upgraded to Pro cannot be sold or used commercially.
Existing subscribers
If you signed up before our pricing change and have a Creator, Pro, or Export Pack plan, your plan is grandfathered — you keep all your current benefits for as long as your plan is active. You can manage your subscription from the Billing page.
Questions?
If you're not sure whether to upgrade, start with a free font and upgrade when you're ready. The upgrade prompt appears naturally when you try to access features beyond what free fonts include.
